Responsive design

Websites developed by Web Impressions work out the screen size of the device being used, eg: mobile phone, tablet, desktop to determine which content is to be downloaded and how it is to be displayed.

This improves the visitor experience by reducing page load times on mobile devices and presenting images which are best suited for the screen resolution.

We avoid the over use of scripting where ever possible. And although mobile phones have become much faster in recent years, a webpage heavy with Javascript and unoptimised images can still slow down the experience. If the desired functionality can be acheived in pure HTML and CSS, this is what we will use.

Most modern desktop computers have the power and the memory to render complex web pages with ease and are often connected to the Internet via broadband. So, for the desktop version of the website, script heavy features, higher resolution and larger images are usually not a problem.
